Helping Edgbarrow School

Published on:

Whilst schools corridors, playgrounds, fields and classrooms are empty when it comes to students, the facilities teams are always flat out trying to nail their long list of maintenance jobs.

Having lots of schools as valued customers, we like to contribute some time from our team to help theirs.

Last week we nipped over to Edgbarrow School to assist Tony and Karl with preparing a newly refurbished area of the school that's primary use is to provide emotional support for the students.

The handiest chap in Source, Tim, built up new furniture with Sarah, Sam and Matt built a rockery around a pond area as well as painting and Ollie and George finished where they left off with the paint brushes donating a total of 18 hours.

Volunteering and philanthropy is part of the Source DNA, with each employee allocated paid volunteering days.

The summer holidays are already booking up with more exciting projects with local schools, offering our teams a valuable chance to spend time with each other away from their usual job setting.
